I thought it might be fun to interview a bunch of people I know in the movie and publishing business. They might be fellow writers, or editors, or as in Steve Meyer’s case, the completely alien world of CGI animation.
He just completed work on How to Train Your Dragon, which opened at Number 1.
So here’s my first ever attempt at an interview, in 2 parts.
Just a quick shout out to Stever Meyer. Thank you!
Awesome guy that he is, Steve invited the entire Pavlou clan over to Dreamworks for the afternoon. Steve’s an animator and we got to see all the stuff he’s been working on. Most of which I can’t tell you about. Suffice it to say that we saw some sweet awesomeness to do with Shrek 4, and the latest scenes Steve completed for How to Train Your Dragon, which comes out next year. This teaser that just came out does not do the movie justice.

The best thing (apart from the free food) was the secret break room the animators have set up. It’s so secret that not everyone at Dreamworks even knows it exists, let alone gets to go inside. I’m not going to say which building it’s in. Or which floor. Or which bookcase has the secret handle to open the secret door. (You think I’m kidding about that part? Er, no…) Inside is… well that would be telling. But I hope I get invited back when the bar is finally up and running. I’m told it’s better than the secret animator’s room at Disney. I don’t doubt it.
